We happen to be lucky enough to live next door to Aubrey's very dear friend Molly. They are years apart, Molly is older yet treats Aubrey like a sister. We love to make stretchy beaded bracelets together with heart beads and shiny beads. We do makeup while the boys play cars. I love how Girly they both are.
It just so happens their birthdays are just about a week and a half apart. We went to a local gals boutique and looked around at dresses and they both caught out of their eye party hats. So, I whispered to them both I would make them one. Truth me told I have never made one. I finally figured it out after multiple tries and a little help from a website that gives you the pattern for the cone. (I wish I remembered which website) Just google how to make a party hat and a bunch will pop up. Then did I go to town with decorating them- this was so fun and the girl's both loved it!!!!
So next time you have a birthday girl or boy- try this I loved that I could specialize it for each girl.
Enjoy!

Bliss all mine
I had aspirations this morning of putting a blog together about something I will post tomorrow, something more traditional of Bliss In My Eyes. Although today, I decided I wanted to talk about the thought of having a life you live creativity. The way you see things. How you see a flea market and get excited while someone else may look at it and think a bunch of junk, we see well.... the beauty of tomorrow, with the bones of yesterday. I die over vintage lace and fabrics. I would love to some day have a gorgeous collection of things I have been searching those very flea markets for- treasures.
I think about what the future may hold for someone with the taste of myself. I love vintage and classy, fabulous heels. Weathered glass with peonies overflowing the vase. I think of little shops I would love to open in the future when my kids are bigger that would contain everything I love, music playing in the background by pink martini. Lavender dried and tied with twine, one of the kind rings and jewelry I designed. Gorgeous flowers made of the finest materials and the kind of flower brooch you would have worn on sex and the city- or that I still wear, I make them of linen. The Butter line of wonderful polishes and maybe some of my favorite in lotions and bubble baths and fragrance Lollia, and just maybe there is a purpose for my favorite scent named wish. I wonder am I a dreamer, or a someday boutique that lures in all kinds of ladies that love wonderfulness. A store that can make you feel Blissful and out of all the stresses in life, you come in smell the Lavender and sip the free coffee or tea, and read a selection of fabulous books and magazines and mingle with friends. That for that small part of your day you could enjoy the bliss I dream of.
Maybe someday. Although, for now I am happy raising my wonderful children and being a creative gal. As I type with my red nails and no where really to go, blog land allows me to go there without leaving. Somewhere that almost every friendly reader also has a dream. So for now that Blissful little shop is in my heart. I hope someday it is real. If not, I hope I share that vibe with you every time you read all about Bliss in My Lives.

As my project continues with ideas and a little extra fluff!
I wasn't happy with the way my flower looked from the side so I decided that I would add layers of materials I had already used. I also thought it was time to incorporate the trimmings I had purchased to go with the flower to see how things were going. Also, I decided I would see what feathers would look like added. It was not in the plan but, I thought I would just see what myself and the Bride thought.

Happily Ever After
I made this flower for a ring bearer's pillow. I will be adding ribbon to the middle so they can tie their rings on. I have also purchased some gorgeous ribbon. So here we go- you can watch this project grow with me. I am so excited for this Bride to be, I have known her for some time, and she is a delight.

A gift of art.
I realize all the time that what I do is a gift worth passing on. I had a friend contact me recently asking me to make her ring-bearer pillow, of course I said yes. She wanted to pay me, I said no- it will be your wedding gift!
Then I like to give people small gifts, like a hair flower for their daughter, a set of matching blank cards.
Also I almost always give a card handmade, unless I stumble upon a perfect card for someone.
Although this summer I have found my crafty world falling by the waste side- as I run kids to the library, try to get an occasional workout in and well, summer life. All good- but much less time to create. So I am not begging summer to end, I am begging for my personal craft time!
So remember, people love handmade items so very much. It is uniques and you thought of them when you made it- what could be better?

Bliss, breathtaking, love.... a wedding? A guest a bride a bridesmaid.
Lately there has been such a shift in the adornments brides wear on there hair. When I was getting married it was a tiara and a long veil. Now brides are adding flowers and feathers, rhinestones, and blushers. It all is so blissful and so alluring to me. I have been working on things a bit. This is something I am starting to undertake and make new creations, with the thoughts in my mind and heart. To imagine a bride someday wearing one of my pieces is more than wonderful, it is purely blissful.
Then I began thinking about how guest attire has changed. So many woman wear black paints and a gorgeous top. Why not add a bit of soft elegance to your hair or shirt. A belt on a plan- high quality fabric tank paired with black pants and heels and a belt of gorgeous flowers, maybe just three all odd sizes and maybe a pop of color.
There is so much magic to such a important day, most of us plan this day since we are small!
Hope this brings a little whimsy- looking around at these pictures of my products I have started collecting. Maybe it will bring back memories of your own special day.
